To apply for UW Study Abroad scholarships you must have a FAFSA or WASFA on file with the UW Office of Financial Aid to demonstrate financial need. Washington state residents with the greatest financial need apply for undergraduate courses at UW are given priority. You may only receive one UW Study Abroad scholarship during your time at the UW. Standard awards based on length of program:

  • Up to USD 2,500/INR 2.35 Lakhs for programs lasting 1 quarter or less.
  • Up to USD 4,000/INR 3.8 Lakhs for programs lasting longer than 1 quarter.
  • Awards may be less than the amounts above if the programme is highly subsidized or if financial need

No, the Universitiy of Washington does not offer any scholarships to international students. The majority of the scholarships offered by the University of Washington are state funded. However, international students can apply for externally funded scholarships to pursue higher education in the United States

The University of Washington is a good school because:

  • There are very competitive majors at the University of Washington. For instance, The Computer Science department at UW is very competitive
  • UW is a top tier school for research and has many opportunities for undergraduates to get involved in. For this, students have to also display interest and reach out to the professors
  • The professors at the University of Washington are approachable

The University of Washington requirements for MS in Business Analytics programme for international students are: 

  • A 4-year U.S. Bachelor's degree or equivalent 
  • Proof of English language proficiency: IELTS with 7 score / Duolingo with 120 / TOEFL with 92 in iBT
  • GMAT / GRE is optional
  • Academic transcripts
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Work experience is recommended, but not required for MSBA program

This has to do with the pronunciation of the University of Washington. The letter "W" is called 'Double U' (pronounced double you). If you shorten the pronunciation of the letter 'W' to one syllable, then it will be just called as Dub. Hence, the university is sometimes referred to as UDub
