Washington University is not an Ivy League University. University of Washington is considered public Ivy school which means it offers a similar quality of education to Ivy League schools. Some other schools included in this list are Indiana University Bloomington, the University of Georgia, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The University of Washington has been ranked #20 in the top public universities in the US by US News in 2023. The University has achieved such a reputation due to its quality of education and highly ranked academic programs.

QS ranked Washington University 63rd for 2024. US News recently published their 2023 best global universities rankings, and the University of Washington earned an impressive spot on the list. Out of 2,000 schools in the world, the University of Washington ranked among the top 10. The reason for its good ranking in the US News is its highly ranked graduate level programs, its community based medical education program, and its contribution to global research.

The University of Washington acceptance rate is 53%. This shows that the University of Washington admission process is moderately selective. However, for freshman international students, the 3-year average admit rate is 44%. The middle high-school GPA as per the data of Autumn 2021 was 3.73 - 3.96 on a 4.0 scale. According to the data of Autumn 2021, for the Engineering courses, the admit rate of international students was 41%, whereas, the admit rate of Computer Science / Computer Engineering was 4%.

For the graduate courses of the University of Washington you should have a 4-year baccalaureate degree, Master's, a doctoral degree or a professional degree or equivalent from an accredited foreign institution. You must have at least 3.0 CGPA on a 4 point scale. Apart from these requirements, you must also prove your English language proficiency by submitting the score of IELTS / TOEFL / Duolingo.
