No. Candidates will have to register online to participate in the counselling for UP NEET. Registration can be done on the official website, upneet.gov.in. Candidates who qualify NEET will be eligible for UP NEET counselling. A total 3 rounds of counselling is held for seat allotment.

Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Lucknow conducts the UP NEET counselling for providing admission into MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates have to register on the official website and submit application form for the counselling rounds. Based on registration, a merit list is released comprising eligible candidates for counselling.

Following documents are required during UP NEET counselling:

  • NEET admit card
  • NEET rank card
  •  Class 10 mark sheet
  • Class 12 mark sheet
  • A valid photo Id proof (Aadhaar card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Pan Card)
  • Domicile Certificate of Uttar Pradesh
  • Caste Certificate
  • Online registration slip Receipt depicting the successful deposition of security money

There is no capping on number of choices for UP NEET counselling. Candidates can declare n number of choices in order of their preferences. Choice has to be locked in the given deadline otherwise it gets automatically locked. Seats will not be allotted if candidates don't declare choices.

Candidates have to pay both refundable and non refundable fees for UP NEET 2025 counselling registration. The non refundable fees for UP NEET 2025 counselling is INR 2,000. The refundable fee depends upon the type of colleges one seeks admission into. Check out the refundable fee in the table given below:

No. Candidates who have already registered in round-1 UP NEET counselling 2025 don't need to register again. Registration can be done on the official website, upneet.gov.in. Registration will be completed only when registration fee (both refundable and non refundable) are paid. Candidates will have to pay INR 2,000 as non refundable fee for registration.

UP NEET counselling will be held by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow. Candidates must note the whole counselling process will be held online for seat allotment. Qualifying NEET will be one of the eligibility criteria for counselling. Candidates are advised to check all the eligibility criteria given in the information brochure regarding seat allocation process. Seats are allotted based on choice declared by candidates, reservation factor etc.

DGME, Lucknow will conduct total three counselling rounds including a mop-up round for the allocation of seats to the candidate. Candidates will have to register with login credentials generated during application process. After registration, choice of college and course will have to be selected and lock them in. Seats will be allotted based on choice declared by candidates, NEET 2025 rank, availability of seats in particular college and course, and reservation factor.

Candidates who wish to take admission to government medical colleges will have to deposit INR 30,000 as security money. This will be adjusted against the course fee. Those who seek admission in private medical colleges, they will have to pay INR 2,00, 000. For both government and private medical seats, candidates will have to pay INR 2,00,000.
