UP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dates, Registration, Seat Matrix & Allotment Result

The NEET UP counselling process involves six stages. Have a look at the detailed UP NEET counselling process below-

UP NEET Registration

Students who wish to participate in the UP NEET Counselling have to register themselves on the official website, upneet.gov.in. Registration can be done only once for counselling of UP NEET. Candidates who have already registered in first round do not need to register again for the second round. Payment of INR 2,000 as registration fee is mandatory. This registration fee can be paid via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

Pay Security Money for UP NEET Counselling

After completing the registration process, candidates have to pay a refundable security deposit or “security money”. This security money has to be paid via a Demand Draft in favour of “Director General, Medical Education & Training, U.P”, payable at Lucknow. The security money differs for the candidates who wish to participate for private or government colleges. The amount of security money also differs for medical and dental courses. UP NEET Document Verification

After successful registration and deposition of the security money, candidates needs to report to the nodal centres for verification of documents. If a candidate fails to report to the respective nodal centre in the stipulated time, their seat will be given to the candidate next in line. Only after the successful verification of the documents, a candidate will be able to proceed to the next stage of UP NEET counselling.

UP NEET Choice Filling and Locking

Post the verification of documents, candidates have to log in on the UP MBBS counselling official website and choose the desired colleges in order of preference. A step-by-step guide for the choice filling and locking process in the counselling of UP NEET are given below:

• Login: One has to login using the NEET roll number and password. An OTP will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number.
• Choice Filling: A list of colleges will appear on the screen. Candidates must choose the colleges in the order of preference. Those applying for private and minority colleges should check all the information about the colleges and fees before selecting them. After choosing the preferred colleges, a candidate must save the selection to proceed further.
• Locking of the options: The choices must be locked and submitted before the deadline. For the candidates who fail to submit the final choices, their application will not be considered for NEET Uttar Pradesh counselling.

Once the choices are submitted, DMET reviews all the applications and forms merit list or seat allotment list for the selected candidates.

UP NEET Institute Reporting

Those who want to continue with the seat allotted to them in the UP NEET counselling, need to report to the college allotted to them. They must report to the college before the last date and must carry the relevant documents with them.

The UP NEET 2026 Counselling process will begin with the release of the application form for Round 1. The authority will release the seat matrix of the UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 along with the schedule. The UP NEET seat matrix 2026 will be published for all the participating colleges that accept admissions for undergraduate medical courses. Candidates should check the seat matrix carefully before submitting their choices in the registration form. The UP NEET 2026 seat matrix will be released separately for each round of counselling. 

Students who clear the NEET 2026 exam by obtaining the cut-off percentile and score are eligible to apply for the UP NEET UG counselling. The Uttar Pradesh NEET UG counselling 2026 will be conducted to fill MBBS, BDS and other medical seats. The DMET, UP will release the UP NEET counselling result online. The UP NEET seat allotment result PDF 2026 will be uploaded here after the allotment. Candidates can check and download the seat allotment result with details such as email ID, roll number, course, and security code. Those who will be allotted the seats will have to report at the institutes for document verification. 

After the announcement of UP NEET seat allotment result, candidates need to report to the allotted colleges to get admissions. For institute reporting, candidates need to carry the required documents along with the fees.
