UP NEET Counselling 2026: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, has activated the UP NEET choice filling 2026 link for round 1 counselling. Candidates can submit choices for UP NEET round 1 counselling till September 5, 2026. The UP NEET round 1 seat allotment result 2026 will be released on September 7, 2026. Candidates can download the Uttar Pradesh NEET seat allotment letter and report to colleges for admission from September 8 to 14, 2026.

The UP NEET merit list 2026 has been released for 31,653 candidates on the official website-- upneet.gov.in. The UP NEET seat matrix 2026 has also been displayed for MBBS and BDS courses. The UP NEET Counselling registration was held from August 7 to 14 and then from September 1 to 2, 2026.

UP NEET Counselling 2026: Choice Filling & Locking

A step-by-step guide for the choice filling and locking process in the counselling of UP NEET are given below:

Login: One has to login using the NEET roll number and password. An OTP will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number.
Choice Filling: A list of colleges will appear on the screen. Candidates must choose the colleges in the order of preference. Those applying for private and minority colleges should check all the information about the colleges and fees before selecting them. After choosing the preferred colleges, a candidate must save the selection to proceed further.
Locking of the options: The choices must be locked and submitted before the deadline. For the candidates who fail to submit the final choices, their application will not be considered for NEET Uttar Pradesh counselling.

UP NEET Counselling 2026 Process

The UP NEET UG counselling involves six stages. The process begin with the online registrations and ends with the institute reporting, which is held offline. Have a look at the detailed UP NEET counselling process below-

UP NEET Registration

Students who wish to participate in the UP NEET Counselling have to register themselves on the official website, upneet.gov.in. Registration can be done only once for counselling of UP NEET. Candidates who have already registered in first round do not need to register again for the second round. Payment of INR 2,000 as registration fee is mandatory. This registration fee can be paid via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

Pay Security Money for UP NEET Counselling

After completing the registration process, candidates have to pay a refundable security deposit or “security money”. This security money has to be paid via a Demand Draft in favour of “Director General, Medical Education & Training, U.P”, payable at Lucknow. The security money differs for the candidates who wish to participate for private or government colleges. The amount of security money also differs for medical and dental courses. UP NEET Document Verification

After successful registration and deposition of the security money, candidates needs to report to the nodal centres for verification of documents. If a candidate fails to report to the respective nodal centre in the stipulated time, their seat will be given to the candidate next in line. Only after the successful verification of the documents, a candidate will be able to proceed to the next stage of UP NEET counselling.
