Yes, its beneficial for the chemical engineering background students. You can opt Energy Trading or Oil & Gas branch in UPES. Average Package of these branch is 6 lakh per annum.

This has a great advantage for students as the subjects taught in business analytics and optimization are based on the IBM course plan and syllabus and plus when you go for placements in the final year this has a benefit as you have been trained according to IBM which no other college provides and companies look at it as a plus point in you along with the usual b.tech CSE degree.

Average package is 5-6 lakh. Power trading companies, Consultancy companies like Accenture, Wipro and Infosys come for Energy Trading as well.

Under the UGC grading of all the universities, UPES is a A grade university. As here you are comparing from IITs and NIITs definitely it is less. I don't know the exact ranking. But here placement is much better than many private universities like AMITY, MANIPAL, etc. Placement here is quite good.
