UPES Dehradun offers over 72 courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels through nine schools and UPES Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). The courses are offered in multiple streams like Engineering, Management, Science, Business, etc. The university conducts its own entrance exams like UPESMET, UPESMET UG, UPESPAT, etc. for providing admission to specific courses. Apart from these, UPES Dehradun also accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CUET UG, CUET UG, NEET, JEE Main, etc. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for UG courses. A minimum of graduation is required for PG courses.

Applicants must have a Graduate Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline with 50 marks in aggregate secured from a recognised University or Institute. Applicants appearing in the final year qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided they submit the proof of their eligibility the latest by October 30, 2021. Up to 30 percent of seats shall be filled through the National Level Tests category like CAT, MAT, XAT, and NMAT. In case applicants for such seats are not available, UPES (Admission Office) has the right to fill these seats through Master of Business Administration (UPESMET).

Triple sharing basis INR 1,70,000 PA Regular hostel for boys and girls at Bidholi and Kandoli campus. INR 1,90,000 PA for a hostel room with an attached washroom (only for girls).
