Hey Satyam,
Definitely, you will get a seat in UPES. Kindly wait for the counselling and choose from the programmes being offered to you. See you got 4512 rank, right? So, it doesn't mean that all aspirants who has a rank below 4512 will join UPES only, they may have taken different engineering exams and they may have got a chance in other colleges. So, probably you will get a seat, do not worry.

Yes, you have to submit first semester fee during the counselling as it confirms your seat in UPES.

UPES is far better than Maharshi Markandeshwar University. UPES has a good number of companies visiting there for placement and also has a good reputation in India. Campus and faculties are excellent there.

As per your rank, you will not get mechanical at SRM, KTK campus. So, it will be better if you wait for your UPES results.

UPES - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is an Indian University located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand known traditionally for its education and research in fields of energy and power.
