The UPPSC Prelims exam will be conducted in two shifts and the candidates will be required to sit for four hours in the examination hall. Hence we suggest that the candidates to wear comfortable and neat clothes that can help them to sit for long hours.
The candidates should avoid wearing any jewellery or metal objects that might hinder with their speed of marking their answers in the answer sheet.

The UPPSC PCS exam selection process involves three stages. It takes around one year to complete the selection process of the exam. The selection process for the UPPSC PCS Exam consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Exam (Interview)
Candidates first need to clear the Preliminary Exam, followed by the Main Exam, and finally, the Interview stage to be considered for selection

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission mention the list of post/services in the official notification. The Commission also mentions the pay level against each post. Based on the pay level we can say Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) is the highest post of the UPPSC PCS exam. The other important ones are for SDM, SP, Registrar, BDO, BSA, Assistant Labour Commissioner and the likes. SDM are entitled for the promotion to Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission released the UPPSC 2025 applications on February 20, 2025. The Commission is providing on month to fill out the UPPSC 2025 applications online on its official website - uppsc.up.nic.in. The candidates should note that the last date to apply for the UPPSC 2025 exam is March 20, 2025.
The last date to submit the UPPSC 2025 application fee is March 20, 2025. The candidates will be allowed to make certain changes in their UPPSC 2025 applications till April 2, 2025.

There are three exam centres for UPPSC main exam. The Commission conduct the UPPSC Main exam in three cities only. These cities are Prayagraj, Lucknow and Ghaziabad. The Ghaziabad is added lately after the demand of the candidates. The UPPSC main exam is a descriptive type exam conducted offline.
The UPPSC Prelims exam is conducted in 51 districts across the state.
