The UPSC IAS 2024 notification was released on February 14, 2024. The notification included important dates, the number of vacancies, the syllabus, and all the criteria for appearing in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Candidates can apply for the UPSC IAS application form until March 5, 2024.  There are 1056 UPSC vacancies in the IAS 2024 exam.

The IAS Exam for 2024 prelims phase will take place on May 26, 2024. The minimum age to fill the IAS 2024 application is 21 years and the maximum age is 32 years. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to certain categories.

Union Public Service Commission provides age relaxation in the upper age limit to the socially and economically backward classes because of the provisions mentioned in the Constitution of India. The Commission provides the following age relaxations to the corresponding categories to apply for the IAS exam.
5 years to SC and ST Category
3 years to Other Backward Classes
3 years to the Defence Services Personnel, disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof

The Union Public Service Commission released the IAS 2023 applications online on February 1. The Commission allowed the candidates to fill out the IAS 2023 applications till February 21. The Commission provided 20 days to fill out the IAS 2023 applications. All the process of the IAS application is online only. Moreover, the candidates can fill out the IAS applications on the official website only. There is no alternative to it.

The IAS application fee was given in the official UPSC notification. The IAS application fee for the prelims exam was INR 100 only. For the candidates belonging to the female category, SC and ST categories and PwD category were exempted to pay any fee for the IAS exam. The application fee for the IAS Main 2023 exam is INR 200.

UPSC IAS 2023 notification was released online on February 1, 2023. The IAS applications 2023 were closed on February 21. The candidates can read and understand the IAS eligibility criteria for next year's applications. The candidates have to register for the UPSC exams before applying for the IAS exam.
