Yes. There is a negative marking in the UPSSSC PET examination. The duration of the exam is two hours. Total questions asked in the exam is 100. Each question carries one marks. For every wrong answer, one fourth mark will be deducted.

UPSSSC PET exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) in offline mode with an OMR sheet. The overall difficulty level of UPSSSC VDO exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) remains moderate. The section wise difficulty level of the UP VDO exam is given below:

  • Hindi Knowledge & Writing: Moderate 
  • General Intelligence Test/ Reasoning: Easy 
  • General Knowledge: Moderate to Difficult

There is no recommended dress code by the UPSSSC  in order to appear for the UP VDO exam. However, the candidates taking the exam are advised to do the following thing before appearing for the exam:

  • Attire: Candidates should not wear shoes or footwear with thick soles. Also, candidates must not wear clothes with large buttons or steel buttons to the test centre.

Yes, the UPSSSC VDO exam follows a negative marking scheme. The commission make panalty of 0.5 marks for the incorrect answers. However, there is no negative marking for the unanswered questions. The candidates taking the exam are advised to mark the answers carefully and while preparation they should focus on accuracy or they will lose their marks. The candidates should keep following things while taking the UP VDO exam:

  • Only mark the answer which you're sure
  • Double check the options while marking the answer in the OMR sheet 
  • Mark the options clean
