So you will get clarity after attending the counselling. Also your branch preferences matter like you can opt for a Metallurgy/Production Engg/etc. Also dual degree is another option at vssut.

There's no issue in being a resident of Jharkhand to get admitted into vssut, but there might be a state quota. Given your rank, it depends upon the branch preferences and real counselling to know whether you can get into vssut.
