The current union minimum for a SAG-AFTRA actor is $956 + 10% for 8 hours. So for a 12-hour day, the least a day-player can be paid is $1,972. The special effects coordinator on the same film will typically make $4050 per hour, so $700 for a 12-hour day. The visual effects supervisor might make $5000/week, or $1,000 for the day. The top VFX supervisors in the business might get $10K per week, or $2K for the same day, basically equal to the actors union minimum. the fee structire generally varies every year since it is decided based on college capital investment and market fluctuations but in an average the course would get complete within 3 lakhs.
