One of significant institution of nursing education in the region is the College of Nursing Sangli which is a part of Bharati Vidyapeeth., although it is quite popular in Sangli, may not be the best one when compared to other institutes of Maharashtra like AIIMS or CMC Vellore which is on national level. However, it has reasonable repute, good infrastructure, and experienced faculty members for those students who want to take admission in nursing in Sangli. It has a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of nursing hence it is a good contender in the region but not the market leader in entire Maharashtra.

To take admission to the M.Sc Nursing programme at College of Nursing Sangli, Bharati Vidyapeeth, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. You must be a holder of a B.Sc Nursing (Basic) from a recognised national university.


2. You must have passed the B.Sc Nursing programme with not less than the equivalent of fifty five percent marks.

Admission to the College of Nursing Sangli, Bharati Vidyapeeth is however selective but not tough especially if the candidates set the standards issued by the institute. For B.Sc Nursing, the candidates should have the completed their 12th standard examination with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. The admission to Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai, Bharati Vidyapeeth for BDS is fairly tough. Candidates must succeed in 10+2 with PCB and English and a minimum of 50% in PCB (40% for reserved categories for SC/ ST/OBC etc.). The admission is done based on the student performance in NEET UG examination.

In order to pursue the course, they have to take admission through MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) only. Over all it is ranged from 300 to 400 marks but may differ every year depend on the no. of seats available and no. of applicant.
