Vidhyashilp University is one of the most prestigious institutes for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Bengaluru. The institute has 3 schools and 2 pre-schools under Vidhyashilp Institutions. Vidyashilp University offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degrees in a variety of areas. Undergraduate programs provide degrees in Engineering, Design, Architecture, and Business, with specialisations in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Product Design. The university offers Master's programs in subjects such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Management. There are a number of factors to take into account when determining whether the BTech programme at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) is superior to Vidyashilp University (VSU). This is a comparison study:

• Accreditations and Recognition: - The AICTE has approved GCEM's BTech programs, and the organisation is NBA accredited. Moreover, VSU has AICTE approval and NBA accreditation. Therefore, both have comparable acknowledgment.
• Faculty and Labs: - The faculty at GCEM is highly experienced and dedicated to teaching. Along with academics, VSU's professors have strong ties to the industry and a focus on research. Both locations appear to have good labs and infrastructure.
• Placements and Recruiters:-Mass recruiters from Infosys and Wipro visit GCEM, with a placement rate of approximately 50%. Over 80% of VSU's placements are with companies like Samsung and Bosch, which also recruits students. Probably, VSU has an advantage.
• Exposure & Learning: GCEM places a greater emphasis on academic theory and the development of technical skills. VSU offers greater industry exposure through required projects and internships. Thus, VSU could facilitate more experiential learning.  
• Fees & ROI: - For private candidates, GCEM charges substantially less in tuition fees (approximately ?1.5 Lakhs total) than VSU (?8–10 Lakhs total). Therefore, GCEM's cost to placement ROI is probably better.

In conclusion, Vidyashilp performs better in terms of alumni network, placements, and exposure. Gopalan, however, has the benefit of cheaper tuition and a stronger academic emphasis. The decision is based on the priorities of each student: more affordable education vs. better career prospects.

Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) presently provides somewhat better placements than Vidyashilp University (VSU), according to the placement data and reports that are currently available:

1) GCEM boasts a specialised training and placement cell that has made sure that over 80% of college graduates are placed annually. The highest pay that was given out was sixteen LPA.

2) In contrast, Vidyashilp University's placement rates during the previous three years have ranged from 60% to 70%. Approximately ten LPA has been the maximum package.

3) Reputable technology companies that hire computer Science graduates, such as Infosys, Wipro, Samsung, Bosch, Accenture, and many others, are among the top recruiters at GCEM.

4) Vidyashilp places a greater emphasis on start-ups and consulting, with fewer major tech companies making campus visits. 

5) For computer Science students, average salaries at GCEM range from 3–4 LPA to 6–8 LPA. The average at VSU is less than 3 LPA.

Thus, even though Vidyashilp is expanding its ecosystem for placement, Gopalan CEM currently maintains better placement statistics in terms of total placement percentage and top salaries. Its placement history also extends over many more years.On the other hand, Vidyashilp prioritizes overall development and offers excellent infrastructure. It has the potential to overtake GCEM's placement performance over time. However, in terms of BTech programme recruitment, GCEM currently performs better.

For admission to the Vidyashilp BTech programme, the minimum requirements are given below: 

Qualifying exam: JEE Main/ State Engineering Entrance exams

Eligibility:

• A minimum of 50% aggregate in Class 12 from a recognised board Or IB Diploma or certificate
• English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science or technical vocational as an optional subject
• IB Diploma or IB Certificate with a minimum average of 4 points for Physics, Mathematics and any optional subject with a minimum of 24 points (overall)

*Technical vocational subject must be related to Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Mechanical streams
