The total tuition cost for a four-year B.E./B.Tech programme at Vikas College of Engineering and Technology is 2,36,000 which can be paid in installments as per the rules mentioned by the college. That only includes the cost of tuition; additional expenses for exam, laboratories and other fees might be charged separately. One's career focus has no impact on the cost of legal services.

Both the boys' and girls' hostel at the college costs 25,000 a year for accommodations; students have furnished rooms with bedding, study tables, chairs and wardrobes. The mess costs often change as the menu is updated, but hostel fees are the same for all students living in the hostel.

Candidates are required to have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, obtaining at least a 45% aggregate score (for reserved categories). People are admitted on the basis of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, JEE Main, CBSE 12th or BIEAP scores or in some cases, through management or NRI quota. Those with a Diploma can access admission to the second year with ECET participation. Anyone who has just taken the 10+2 exam can register provisionally.

It runs independently according to AICTE's rules and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK). When college started, it focused on being managed by its own funds, so that the resources could be used to strengthen the infrastructure, develop staff and fund research activities.

A number of recent sources show that 70 percent of students end up getting internships and placements at TCS, Infosys and IBM. Good equipment in laboratories, large classrooms and helpful learning conditions support success in school. Its reputation is confirmed by the fact that it gets a rating of 4 or above on every educational portal.

The JEE Main exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is conducted for admission to BTech in most colleges all over India, not only for the Vikas College of Engineering and Technology. The JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year. The results for session 1 were released on February 12, 2025, and the results for session 2 were released on May 23, 2025.
