Mechanical Engineering normally suffers in placements in Pune University colleges. But due to strong TPO, VIT successfully places mechanical engineering students as well with some MNCs.
Best regards.

The cut-off is generally around 180+ for COEP and VIT.

VIT-Pune has now become a university, so they have their own deadlines and admission procedure. For more information about lateral entry, contact their admission officer.

Hi Swapnil,
VIT mechanical engineering department is one of the very good departments. As far as placements are concerned I would like to share an experience of my roommates. Two years back, two M.Tech. 2nd year students were my roommates. I remember that they had sat for an interview of at least 5-6 companies in front of me. Also, there were some more companies for which their profile wasn't suitable.

Hi Manmeet, mostly there is an all India quota in our college. So, you can appear for JEE Mains exam and then your score (or probably all India rank) will decide your admission. There is one more way,i.e., management quota. You have to pay donations and then you can get admitted to your desired branch directly. All the best!

Hello Pratik,
I don't think that VIT entertains shifting of college. You can get admitted here through MH-CET or JEE Mains. But irrespective of this, you can always maintain a good pointer that is above 9. This will help you in future for your higher studies or placements.
Thank you. All the best!
