At the UG level, a full-time BTech programme is offered under the stream of engineering. VTU BTech admissions are based on a valid score in JEE Main KCET, KCET/ COMEDK UGET. The programme is offered in 24 specialisations with an annual fee of Rs 7,720 each for Karnataka state candidates, while for other state candidates, it is Rs 28,500.

VTU BTech Admission 2024 Candidates interested in pursuing the BTech degree programs must have completed their 10+2 from the Science stream to be eligible for the admission process. Interested students will have to qualify for KCET/ JEE Main/COMEDK entrances.

According to media reports, Visvesvaraya Technological University has decided to include industrial content in all the Engineering streams from the academic year 2023-24. The objective of this inclusion of Industrial content in the course curriculum is to create industry-ready Engineers. Further, according to VTU Management and Engineering NIRF reports 2023, the median package offered during VTU MBA and MTech placements 2022 stood at INR 3.65 LPA and INR 3.73 LPA, respectively.
