Canddiates who have passed a recognised Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of three years duration or equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 50 % aggregate is eligible for admission to VTU MBA programme. The candidates appear for the  Entrance Examination conducted by KEA (PGCET)/Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) or appeared and qualified under any approved entrance examination conducted by the authority recognised by the Government of Karnataka/VTU /the any other University of Karnataka state.

At the UG level, a full-time BTech programme is offered under the stream of engineering. VTU BTech admissions are based on a valid score in JEE Main KCET, KCET/ COMEDK UGET. The programme is offered in 24 specialisations with an annual fee of Rs 7,720 each for Karnataka state candidates, while for other state candidates, it is Rs 28,500.
