2. Percentile is based on how you score in each subject compared to nearby computer system.
3. VIT does not disclose marks in each subject.
4 minimum 10 - 15 questions in exam are from previous year JEE main paper. So make sure you can solve previous year JEE main questions. I think this information will help you for VIT entrance exam

Candidate must have secured above-mentioned minimum percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics:
For SC - 50%
For ST - 50%
For North Eastern State - 50%
Candidates who have not appeared for the VITEEE are not eligible for admission.

It is not easy to get computer science and engineering course in both SRM University and VIT University with these ranks.
In VIT it is even difficult to get a course with a normal fee. You need to pay more.
In SRM you cannot get the main campus but you can get the other campuses and the Amaravathi campus.

Since CSE (bioinformatics) is available only at VIT Vellore (main campus), your rank is not enough get main campus. But if you can pay more money then you may get. You can get it in category 2,3,4 or 5 means your fees will be atleast Rs 300000 per annum.
You have been called for counseling so that you attend it and then decide.
