VIT – Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is an independent engineering college situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was set up in the year 2002 and is accredited to the University of Mumbai and recognised by the AICTE. VIT is a private university and self-financed, and controlled by the Vidyalankar Dnyanapeeth Trust. It provides several undergraduate and post graduate courses in the fields of engineering, management & computer applications with over 1200 student admistrations annually. The VIT Vellore M.Tech admission process is completely entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission based on VITMEE exam, which is conducted at the university-level by VIT. Students need to qualify the exam to proceed to further selection rounds. The shortlisted candidates are offered final admission based on their performance in PI round.

No, VIT does not accept JEE Main score to grant admission to its BTech programme. As per the VIT Vellore BTech admission process, candidates must appear and qualify for VITEEE exam with a valid score. This is the only entrance exam valid for admission to a full-time BTech course at VIT.

VIT Vellore BCA eligibility criteria is to qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 65% marks for general category (55% marks for SC/ST category) for the programme.
