Admission to the college for B.Tech in Electronics Engineering is through counselling based on rank obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHTCET). Vacant seats will be filled by the institute based on the rank obtained in JEE-Mains. Please contact the college officials for detailed information.

Both the institutes are comparable and have advantage of their own. VIT would offer you chances to get placed in good company after education while Walchand would offer you benefit of low fee. Talking about electronics, both institute are at par.

There are two factors that you should consider while deciding where to take admission: the stream
and institution.
If you are not very particular about the stream that you want, then go for better institution i.e. COEP. But if your interest lies strongly in mechanical and you are not getting mechanical at COEP, then you may join WEC.
