The West Bengal Public Service Commission mention the WBCS salary of all the Service Groups in the official notification. The candidates can see the official notification to know and compare the salaries of each group. The salary of a WBCS Group B officer ranges from Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 42,000 with a compensation pay of Rs. 5,400.

It includes only the West Bengal Police Service.

The candidates should note that the salary of the IAS officier is fixed by the Ministry of Personnel, Government of India. The State governments are required to follow the mandate of the Union Government and pay the IAS officers such salary. This is the case for all the three All India Services. 

The salary of IAS officers posted in West Bengal can be provisionally taken as Rs. 1,30,600/- in Level-21 of Pay Matrix as per the information provided in the Government of West Bengal document

The salary of the IAS officers is prescribed and revised by the Union Government of India while the WBCS officer's salary is governed by the State Government rules. The salary of WBCS officers is not more than that of IAS officers posted in the state. IAS officers receive a higher salary. The IAS salary and allowances for IAS officers are more better than those for WBCS officers.

The candidates should note that the salary of the WBCS officers are provided by the state government. The salaries of the IAS officer posted in the State are also provided from the State Consolidated Funds. The WBCS salaries are prescribed by the State Personel department which directly works under the Chief Minister of the State.

The West Bengal Public Service Commission mention the list of services under each group in the official notification. The candidates can see below the list of service that comes under WBCS Group A services:

• West Bengal Civil Service (Executive)
• Assistant Commissioner of Revenue in the integrated West Bengal Revenue Service
• West Bengal Co-operative Service
• West Bengal Labour Service
• West Bengal Food and Supplies Service
• West Bengal Employment Service

The West Bengal Public Service Commission can provide the WBCS application correction facility this year. The Commission will mention for such facility in the official notification. In general, once the application form for the WBCS exam is submitted, candidates cannot edit the compulsory fields.

The candidates should read the criteria mentioned on psc.wb.gov.in for the registration process. The candidates should follow these and proceed accordingly. The following documents are required with the WBCS enrollment form are:

• Active mobile number.
• Valid email ID.
• Father's name.
• Mother's name.

The West Bengal Public Service Commission will mention the WBCS 2024-25 application fee in the official notification. The candidated are requested to read the notification carefully and pay the WBCS application fee according to their category. The categories exempted from paying the application fee for the WBCS 2024-25 exam are:

• SC candidates
• ST candidates
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with 40% disability or more from West Bengal

The West Bengal Public Service Commission will mention the WBCS application fee in the official notification. The WBPSC WBCS notification is expected soon at wbpsc.gov.in.

The application fee for the WBCS exam is INR 210 for Unreserved category candidates, including bank charges. However, there is no application fee for SC/ST candidates.

The validity of the WBCS answer key for 2024 is typically until the results of the exam are officially announced. Candidates can refer to the answer key to estimate their scores and evaluate their performance until the official results are declared by the West Bengal Public Service Commission.
