With this rank, you may get IEM ECE if you go up to the 3rd counselling. Else, you will get Heritage. Both of them are one of the best colleges in Bengal. Also, I will suggest you go for the private colleges only as the government colleges (except Jadavpur University) are in very bad condition (infrastructure, placement, locations, etc.). Also, if you are taking admission in private colleges go for only ECE, CS or IT branch. As the condition of core branches are really bad. Coming to the counselling after the first round if you will be provided with any college then you will have to be physically present there in any of the allotted ce

Hello Swapnil,
I think WBJEE was conducted for fresh admission to the 1st year engineering in colleges across WB. But you are seeking admission via lateral means directly into the 2nd year. WBJEE score will not help you. You will have to follow the centralised system of DTE (WB) for this.

Hello Kamal,
If I may say so, your rank is a bit low. Nevertheless, getting admission depends on how those ahead of you have given their choice. For you to get some idea, I am attaching a link that will predict a college for you.

With 75,000 rank, you can get private colleges like Dr. Sudhir, Guru Nanak, JIS college, Durgapur College of Engineering and Management, BBIT, etc. All these colleges are same. What I will advice you is that either you go for private external counselling or choose the college from above list which is near to your house.

If you want computer science branch then the best colleges which you can get are Techno India-Rajarhat, BPPIMT, Future Institute-Sonpur, and MCKV. If you choose other branches then you can get IT in RCCIT which is a good choice again.
Feel free to ask your questions.

Very few seats are available in colleges for OBC category though WBJEE. As your OBC rank is 976, you can get government colleges like MAKAUT, JGEC and few more in the first round. As far as private colleges are concerned, you can get any course in RCCIT. Choose your college wisely, ask an expert on Sikhsha if you have any difficulty.

You may get some good colleges but not sure that it would be a govt college. With this rank, your ward may opt for the desired branch in some college of West Bengal.

Hi,
It's difficult to get a good college with this rank as most of the colleges prefer a rank below 10,000. You may get a college but I am not sure about the desired branch. You can try for some colleges like IEM and UEM, Bengal College of Engineering, etc.
