Candidates will have to meet the age limit for WBJEE admission. If the candidates are unable to meet the age criteria, then they will not be considered for BTech admission into the participating institutes.

  • The lower age limit is 17 years old as on the admission year. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE.
  • However, for admission to the degree-level Marine Engineering course, the upper age limit is 25 years as on the admission year.

Candidates will be able to appear for just Paper 1 of WBJEE. However, these candidates will not be allotted ranks for admission by the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are advised to attempt both papers of WBJEE - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). The authorities will conduct WBJEE paper as a computer-based test.

Yes, even though you have past your 12th board examination in the year 2019, you can appear for WBJEE 2025. This is of course subject to the condition that you have scored minimum required marks in your 12th examination. This examination stimulates a minimum age of the student at 17 years but there is no restriction on the upper age limit.

Best wishes to you.
