During the preparation period, the candidates can refer to the previous years' WBJEE question papers to analyze the important topics and weightage given to each concept and subject. This will allow the candidates to understand which topics are important and cannot be missed out, and which topics have higher chances of being left out, and accordingly prepare. However, for higher chances of performing well in the exam and securing good scores, the candidates are advised to follow the official WBJEE syllabus.

Yes. The topics of WBJEE will be similar to that of the Class 12th board exams and they also deal with the basic as well as extensive concepts of the subjects or sections from which the questions will appear. However, some of the topics are also from 11th standard. Candidates are advised to check the WBJEE syllabus available online carefully. While preparing for the examination, the candidates are advised to refer to their board examination books and materials.
