Hello Javed,
As you have mentioned, it is indeed great of you to think of doing graduation in engineering at this stage in life. But, unfortunately option of distance education is ruled out for engineering. Of course, you have the option of lateral entry for engineering, but then you will have to do three year full time course. If you can spare time and money for this, then go for it. However, there is third route also. You can think of doing AMIE. This you have to do at home at your convenience. It is also equivalent to graduation in engineering.

If you are from BA, then don't go for MCA, because you can't compete with other students who comes from BCA , B SC (IT) ,or any other science graduate. In west Bengal, there is no such institution , can allow you to take admission. Mathematics and good knowledge in COMPUTER Applications like C,C+,java,Dbms,Data structure ,Networking is essential. You may feel very uncomfortable in every subjects, and it will be very hard to complete MCA degree with good marks.

This is the admission or eligibility criteria for B.tech.
B. Tech. Eligibility Requirements
Age: Applicants whose date of birth, as per school records, falls on or after 1st July, 1997.
Educational Qualification: A pass in 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects.If you have completed Diploma with 12th then yes you are eligible.
