XLRI Delhi is renowned for quality, strong industry linkages and the academic standards it offers. Therefore, while the primary focus of placement remains on their full-time PGDM programs, the institute's reputation and industrial linkages do affect their certificate courses.

The entrance exams that XLRI Delhi accepts for entry to the MBA program include the following:
XAT - Xavier Aptitude Test: It is the main entrance exam accepted by XLRI for admission to its MBA programs.
GMAT: XLRI accepts Graduate Management Admission Test scores for its PGDM-GM program.
GRE: XLRI accepts GRE scores for admission to its PGDM-GM programme.
Note: XLRI Delhi does not accept CAT scores for entry into its MBA programs.

General Requirements:
Academic Qualification: A bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA)
Work Experience: Some programs require the applicant to have minimum work experience; for instance, to be allowed into the Postgraduate Certificate in Senior Leadership Program one needs to have a minimum of 10 years of working experience.
Entrance Test: Some programmes may require an entrance test, such as XLRI Admission Test known as XAT.

The following Documents are required for admission to XLRI Delhi:-
1. Report of XAT/GMAT/GRE: The highest score should also be submitted.
2. Bachelor's Degree Certificate: Proof that a recognized university has issued the degree certificate.
3. Transcripts: Transcripts of all earlier institutions attended.
4. Resume: An updated resume detailing the earlier work experience and skills.
5. Personal Statement: A statement of reasons why he/she is applying for this and including his/her goals and motivations.
