No, the Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur does not offer any direct admission to its PGDM courses. However, XLRI does have a few seats under the management quota for which it offers direct admission. The direct admission process is competitive and difficult because of the limited number of seats available. The fees for direct admission are usually higher than the original fees. To be eligible for direct admission under the management quota:
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from an authorised institute or university.
- Candidate must have a good score on the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT).

To get admission into XLRI (Xavier School of Management), your performance in the XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is crucial, as academic scores have lesser weightage. With 90% in 10th, 73% in 12th, and 75% in B.Tech, aim for a 98+ percentile in XAT for competitive programs like BM or HRM. XLRI emphasizes the overall profile, so strong XAT scores, work experience (if any), and performance in the GD-PI round can significantly enhance your chances of selection.

XLRI Jamshedpur has strong reputation and placement record in the consulting domain. Top consulting firms actively recruiting McKinsey & Company, BCG, Bain & Company, Accenture, and Deloitte recruit from flagship programs such as PGDM in XLRI. The rigour of the curriculum along with industry exposure and its powerful alumni network contributes to this excellent success rate in placements in consulting. XLRI's placement procedure generally finds a substantial proportion of the graduating batch getting placed in consulting; some of the students were offered really handsome salary packages. All in all, XLRI is one of the preferred choices

It depends on various factors. Male students with a non-engineering background need to have a minimum of 93 percentile if they need to get admitted to PGDM HRM. Those who have an engineering background need to have at least 96 percentile to be eligible. Female students can expect the call as they need to have 90 percentile irrespective of their background.
