University of York acceptance rate is 87% according to data from unofficial sources. This shows the institute is less  selective at admitting students to its courses. 

Interested applicants are required to submit respective admission applications months in advance, to allow enough time for document processing & boost their overall chances of admissions. For UG courses admission to Uni of York, students must have passed Class 12. Whereas for admisison to PG courses, a Bachelor's degree is required.

Yes nyu permits international students to work while studying. Overseas students must be mindful of the fact that they can work no more than 20 hours per week while classes are in session and it is essential that this employment does not interfere with a their academic program. During vacations, they can work for unlimited hours.
