No, the B.Ed syllabus is not as tough as compared to other competitive exams like JEE/NEET or CSE. The subjects are quite manageable, and with a rigorous 90 to 100-day study plan, one can easily crack the exam. You can pursue B.Ed in the subject of your graduation or post-graduation. B.Ed is generally offered in Arts, Science or Commerce streams.
