Commonly asked questions
On D.Ed Colleges in Jharkhand
Q:   Can I pursue D.Ed. after graduation instead of B.Ed.?
A:

Yes, you can definitely do D.Ed. after graduation but it's not common. D.Ed. is a diploma-level course which is meant for students after 10+2.

If you're already a graduate and want to become a teacher, it's usually better to go for a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education), which is the next step in teacher training and opens up more job roles and higher salaries. In my opinion doing B.Ed is better that pursuing a D.Ed Course if you are already a graduate.

Q:   What is the difference between D.Ed and D.EI.Ed courses?
A:

In India, there is currently no technical difference between D.Ed and D.El.Ed courses. Both acronyms stand for Diploma in Education and refer to the same teacher training programme for elementary school education.

The use of D.El.Ed was more common in the past, while D.Ed is the current preferred term. However, some institutions and official documents may still use either term interchangeably.

Q:   What are the preparation tips for D.Ed admission 2026?
A:

Candidates should be aware of the increasing level of competition for the tests if they choose to apply for admission to teaching programs. The curriculum now includes more complicated tasks that need verbal and logical thinking.

  • Candidates must be well-prepared for all of the test's components, including the ones that gauge candidates' linguistic competency, cognitive capacity, and aptitude for teaching.
  • Understand the structure of the exam, the weighting of the several sections, the practice of negative marking, and the time limit for each exam.
  • The syllabus must be well understood and memorized in order to develop a plan of attack for both easy and difficult topics as well as to examine the most important and point-producing areas of tests.
  • Consult specific sources to reduce uncertainty and make the main ideas clear.
  • Plan your time so that you can read and revise everything while giving the important themes top importance.
  • Solve PYQs to understand the test's difficulty level and successfully prepare for the subjects that are tested the most frequently.
  • Complete mock tests to gauge your preparation, increase your capacity for trying more times, and reduce incorrect tries.
