At the postgraduate level, Allahabad University offers a two-year MA programme to students in over 20 specialisations to the students. Admission to MA is subject to a valid score in the AU PGAT exam. The offline and online entrance exams for PG courses will take place at Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly and New Delhi. No, candidates seeking admission to the Allahabad University for most of its UG and PG courses have to appear for the CUET-UG and PGAT entrance exams, respectively. For a few courses, such as BBA, admission is subject to merit list created subject to the Class 12 scores. The exam paper is divided into two levels. Level-I of the CRET test consists of two papers. Paper I has 50 objective-type questions of 2 marks each. Objective type 25 questions are from Research Methodology and 25 questions are subject-specific. There is no negative marking. Paper-2 is subjective with small, medium and long answer-type questions. The total marks of both papers are 300. Additionally, the application fee for the exam is INR 1,600 for unreserved and OBC category candidates and INR 800 for SC/ ST and PwD candidates.
