The exam paper is divided into two levels. Level-I of the CRET test consists of two papers. Paper I has 50 objective-type questions of 2 marks each. Objective type 25 questions are from Research Methodology and 25 questions are subject-specific. There is no negative marking. Paper-2 is subjective with small, medium and long answer-type questions. The total marks of both papers are 300. Additionally, the application fee for the exam is INR 1,600 for unreserved and OBC category candidates and INR 800 for SC/ ST and PwD candidates. 

Selection to PhD at Allahabad University is offered on the basis of one among CRET/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE exams In addition to these entrances, students must have completed their UG and PG degrees in the relevant stream with at least 55% aggregate. Candidates can know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. The exam will be held in two slots each day depending upon the subject combinations chosen by the candidate.
