Approximately 25–35% of students are given waiver of tuition fees on the basis of performance or economic needs.On merit-based scholarships: top 2% receive 100% waiver the next 1% receive 50%.Merit cum need (linked with family income): top 5% are given 100%,  next 2% are given 50%, next 5%  are given 25%, and next 10% are given 10% waiver.Most of the scholarships are given semi-annually and are subject to good marks as well as an appropriate conduct.These waivers are only for tuition fees.
