BITS Pilani Admission 2026: Fees, Courses, Eligibility, Dates & Selection Process

Candidates must have passed ME/ MPharm from a recognised institute/ university with a minimum of 60% aggregate, or MPhil with a minimum of 55% aggregate or any integrated first-degree course of BITS in Pharmacy or its equivalent to apply for MPharm course. Candidates need to hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.

In case of a campus change, students do not need to get involved in the fee and document process as the process is internally handled by BITS itself. However, if students opt for any other campus and leave their seats at BITS Pilani, they are refunded the additional amount paid for the hostel, as the accommodation at the Pilani campus is less expensive.

If parents arrive for students’ admission at BITS campus, they must take care of their lodgings as the college does not provide an accommodation facility. However, once the hostel room gets allotted to students, parents can stay with them for a day until the classes begin. After the beginning of classes, students must stay at the campus only.

The hostel allotment at BITS Pilani is done both on the day of reporting and the day before. There is no fixed criteria for the room allotment. Also, there is no provision of first-cum-first serve as all the rooms are similar looking and allotted randomly.

BITS Pilani admission process is given below:

• To take admission in BITS Pilani, students must meet the eligibility.
• Fill the application form, attach the necessary documents and submit with the registration amount.
• The selection is entrance and merit-based. The institute accepts BITSAT, BAAT, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT, BITS HD Online Test, etc.
• To confirm admission, students must pay fees.

Fee for academic year 2026 is not available as of now. For reference, the admission fee for MBA in 2025 at BITS Pilani was INR 60,500. Tuition fee per semester in first year was INR 2.75 lakh. Fee for summer term was INR 96,300. Students also had to pay Caution Deposit of INR 3000.

Admission process for MBA in BITS Pilani is given in the steps below:

Step 1: Candidates need to fill the application form.

Step 2: Applicants' eligibility status is verified.

Step 3: Eligible candidates are called for the Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT).

Step 4: Applicants are shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) based on their performance in BAAT.

Step 5: Final selection is based on overall performance in BAAT, PI, CAT/XAT/GMAT (if available), along with prior work experience, and previous academic history.

When you appear for the PI for MBA in Business Analytics programme at BITS Pilani, you should have all the original documents that you uploaded during the application process. You should also keep following documents ready:

1.     A government-issued ID (e.g., Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID)

2.     A printed copy of your completed application form for reference during the interview.

3.     Experience certificates, offer letters, or any official documentation verifying your employment history.

It is not mandatory to appear for CAT / XAT / GMAT to be considered for admission to MBA in Business Analytics at BITS Pilani However, if candidates have taken CAT, XAT, or GMAT, their scores may be considered as part of the selection process. Candidates are required to appear for the Business Analytics Aptitude Test (BAAT) conducted by BITS Pilani.

BITS Pilani BTech cutoff is calculated on the basis of these following factors:

• Any changes in exam pattern
• Total candidates who took the BITS exam­
• Difficulty level of the exam
• Performance of candidate
• Seat availability

For admission to the PhD course at BITS Hyderabad, the candidate shall be a graduate with 60% aggregate. An applicant shall have adequate proficiency in English as well. The accepted examination for PhD course is UGC NET and CSIR NET.

No, students cannot apply for engineering courses at BITS Hyderabad with 67% in Class 12. To apply, students must fulfil the eligibility. To be eligible, candidates must pass Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate in PCM from a recognised board.

BAAT is a Computer-Based-Test that is conducted across physical test centers. The total duration of the test is 3 hours, and there is no sectional time limit Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks and each wrong answer will result in deduction of 1 mark.  BAAT will comprise of the following sections:

a)       Management Aptitude Section

1.       Verbal Ability

2.       Quantitative Aptitude

3.       Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

b)      Analytics Aptitude Section. The total duration of the test is 3 hours, and there is no sectional time limit

Yes, BITS Pilani has a full-time BPharm programme approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). This four-year programme is divided across an eight-semester structure. Candidates seeking admission to the BITS Pilani BPharm course must appear for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT).

While applying for the MBA in Business Analytics at BITS Pilani, candidates may be required to provide proof of work experience that verifies employment and duration of service. Freshers without any work experience can also apply for admission.
