It could be said that the Central University of Kerala – Thiruvalla Campus is in a Tier 2 tier. The first tier of institutions in Indian teaching context is recognised as IITs, NITs, and some of the best ranked Central Universities with very high national ranking, research infrastructure, global acknowledgement etc.Although, Central University of Kerala provides decent education, better faculty members If we don't see it in top 100 repeating list of the national frameworks like NIRF. These include such areas as Social Sciences, Languages etc., offering strong academic base but with fewer publications and affiliations of Tier 1 universities. As such, education quality of the Tier 2 universities is reputable while they are not within the rank of the Tier 1 universities.
