Experience in ISTAR College.
Placements: Our department gives a guarantee of placement. There is 100% placement in our department. Last year, there were 60 students in our batch, and all 60 students got placed in good companies. Not even a single student is left without a job. The companies that come to our campus are Reliance, PCBL, Unison, Imtiaz, Zyiders, and Lupin. All types of companies, such as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and paint industries, come to our campus. The salary packages are between 2.5 and 24 LPA for starters. Students get selected for QA, QC, and Production Officer roles.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are big and have both digital screens and blackboards. Wi-Fi is also available. Labs are good, and we do practical work there. The library is big and has a good book collection. For the hostel, rooms are spacious with basic furniture. The mess food is simple Gujarati food served three times a day, which is okay, but sometimes becomes boring. The hostel fee is Rs. 45,000 per year. Going out is not allowed after 9:00 p.m. Free doctor facilities are available for students. Shastri Maidan is there for sports and other activities. There is no canteen inside the college and no transport facility, which is a little inconvenient.
Faculty: Faculty is good. Most of them are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They explain concepts with real industry examples, which is very helpful. Some faculty members are approachable and friendly, while some are just okay. The curriculum is very relevant because we study chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, quality assurance, and many other subjects, so it directly prepares us for industry. When I go for my industrial training, I already know many things from my syllabus.
Other: Actually, I chose this course because I have no other option left. I want to do an MBA after completing my B.Sc., but I only have three months to prepare. Because of this, I am not able to prepare properly for the exam and am unable to crack it. Therefore, at the last moment, I decided to pursue this course.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty and placements, the infrastructure is very bad.
Placements: To be honest, companies do visit the campus, but they keep a placement pool where students from nearby colleges also visit and give interviews. Many seniors of mine have been sitting in multiple interviews and are still not placed despite of have 8 plus CGPA. A few of them with 9 plus CGPA have opted for non-tech roles like HR, etc because of the pressure of not getting selected by tech companies, so most of them have 3.5 LPA and max 4 LPA. Hardly 5-8 people have got more than 5 LPA, and that too by off-campus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is for faculty only, and LAN is for computer labs, which is also very slow, out of 40, only 30 computers hardly work. Classes are for 80-90 students with 6 fans and wooden benches. The hostel is horrible, and the food is bad too. The sports room has 1 table tennis, 1 carrom, and 1 chessboard, nothing else. Almost everybody changes their hostel after staying in it for 1st year.
Faculty: Only 3-4 faculties are eligible enough to teach because they know about their subjects, other all are just reading out the PPTs and nothing else. Mid exams are conducted twice a day, and then remedial exams are taken 2 times for those who are failing. External exams are tough compared to internal exams, and almost all students have above 7 CGPA.
Other: There are CP, CSD, IT ,IOT, ICT, and all of them are 95-98% same, except for 2-3 subjects from the whole course of 8 semesters. So, counting 90 students per branch is 450 students sitting in the placement for every tech company coming. If CVM University organises any events, then only the event happens for all colleges under CVM , no college events are conducted, and if it happens, the organising team is biased and makes their own team the winners to avoid price distribution.

An average college with great teachers, below-average hostel, and great campus.
Placements: Around 50 percent of the students opting for placements are placed through the college's placements, while some students are placed off campus. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Rest, Gateway, Zealous Web, eSparkBiz, etc. Various roles offered are AI ML, Java, Net, mern stack, or frontend developer, devops, QA, HR, and social media manager.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in labs, and computer labs are equipped with manageable machines. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and a stage. It lacks AC, and the condition of the benches is not top-notch. The hostel rooms are a bit small for three people, and are provided with personal washrooms and a maid for cleaning purposes. The hostel mess is below average, and the quality of food is below average. The food comes with extra protein, like bugs and flies sometimes. The taste of food is manageable.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They help us with everything. The course curriculum is good with a little bit of new technologies involved. Majorly, they teach old technology rather than that. A maximum of teachers are PhD holders or are pursuing a PhD. Exams are easy to crack. Around 90 percent of students crack exams.

It is an average college, and the only good thing is the events and fest.
Placements: I got 81 percent in the CBSE board and secured around 15,000th rank in ACPC. Since this year was only the second placement drive at our college for my course, the average package is around 3-4 LPA. Some of the companies that participated include Instances Solution, Emgage, Mastek, Thinkbiz, and many others. Over 100 companies in total were invited for placement all over the course. Several of the companies mentioned above hire students from my course, with around 40-50 percent of them getting full-time placements. I'm not entirely sure about all the roles offered, but some of them are web designer, data analyst, and similar roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure from outside is good, and the inside is not particularly good. Cleaning inside the classrooms is done maybe once a week, and the washrooms for faculty members are good, but not for students. The facilities provided are good, including the IDEA Lab, which was funded by the government. You can use computers if they are vacant during college hours. I don't know much about hostel facilities, but only newly made hostels are good, and the old ones are not that great. The food for the mess is mediocre, there is a sports complex area, and tournaments are held by them now and then.
Faculty: Teachers are great and very qualified for their posts, but the way of teaching is too boring, as they only read the text in pre-made PPTs every year. This looks good for some time, but it makes students disinterested in the course. No, the course is not relevant, as there are many of them, and no, it doesn't make you industry-ready at all. Semester exams are difficult, but if you study hard, you can clear them. The pass percentage is not high; rather, it gives you a backlog in a particular subject, so I'm not sure about that.
Other: I chose this college because I was interested in the growth of AI, how these things work, how they advance, and things like that. My course needed improvement with the curriculum; the content needed to interconnect, which would make students ready and make things interesting. Events and fests are held once every year, which are very interesting to watch and participate in. They help build new friendships and different circles with the same interests as you. Scholarships are handled for a few, with not that great options; some state scholarships are filled with better opportunities.

Decent infrastructure, good teachers, fewer events, and compulsory attendance.
Placements: Average placements for this subject, you need to work hard, unlike the other courses, faculty members won't give you easy grades, you need a good relationship with the teachers, so you might not get in trouble regarding this course, otherwise, the other courses are totally different.
Infrastructure: Several hostels nearby. Good food and cheap to get easily. The hostels also have AC rooms, but you need to be prepared for early admission, and Teachers are good teacher, but some of them are strict. However, you get a good amount of knowledge from here.
Faculty: I'd say many of the teachers here are not able to speak fluent English, even though they teach well, we need them to speak the local language for understanding. The university tries as much as they can, I think it's easy to pass the semester exams, but the subjects you'll get to know about.
Other: Events and fests are held often, but after a certain time, you'll be bored and won't attend all of them, especially since the university doesn't provide funds to the college to attend Techfest, but there are several seminars and other things here, and many of the festival celebrations. One gets a scholarship too for the fees by showing their grades in the previous sem or 12th grade. There's a sports club in college that organizes many activities. Regarding sports and a culturals team for folk singing, dancing, etc. Other than that, there is a robotics team for the RoboFest and Robocon for co-curricular activities.

I honestly say that this is college for whom who can do anything in his/her own skills.
Placements: We got 50-60% placement from our college. We got the highest package like up to 6 LPA, and average package is 3 LPA, and the lowest is 1 LPA. We got companies like TATA, TWS, Infosys, etc. 60% of students get internship from our college in Infosys, TWS, etc. Roles like full-time employee, data analysis, web developer, etc., roles offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Our facilities and infrastructure of college is quite good. We also have Wi-Fi in our labs. Our classrooms have fans while our IT lab has AC. We also have a library for any type of mini project and reading. The management of hostel is also good, but our mess doesn't have any regular taste it changes day by day. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. We also have a sports complex, so in sports we are lucky.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if we discuss the doubt that is in our mind, and they have great qualification in their subject. They teach good. This course is relevant to curriculum and makes us industry ready. Our semester exam is not that hard it’s quite hard only, but if we do PYQs of particular subject, we have chance to pass the semester by average marks.
Other: I choose this course because I want to be a software engineer in future. I like the labs in which we can do practical by our own hand. If they do more labs instead of theory, it will be more interesting for students. Events are also good by our CVM University, and we have many types of scholarships.

The lowest rank is around 14506 (JEE Main) for Information and Communication Technology. It is quite difficult to get admission at 50,000 rank. However, candidates should participate in all rounds of counselling. The competition usually decreases as multiple rounds of counselling are conducted.

Admission in BTech at CVMU is based on GUJCET or JEE Main ranks. The cutoff for different courses is released in the first round of counselling. Cutoff lists are different for each college and course. The lowest cutoff goes for Information and Communication Technology which is 14930 (GUJCET).

The minimum marks required for admission under management quota is 45% (40% for SC/ST/SEBC). For entrance based admission, students have to qualify cutoff along with the minimum aggregate required. Application forms are to be filled on college website for both cases.
