There are 16 specialisations offered. Some of the specialisations are Mechanical Engineering, AI and Data Science, Food Processing Technology (ADIT), Chemical Engineering etc. It offers BTech through three colleges under CVMU. Colleges offering course are GCIT, MBIT and ADIT.

The minimum marks required for admission under management quota is 45% (40% for SC/ST/SEBC). For entrance based admission, students have to qualify cutoff along with the minimum aggregate required. Application forms are to be filled on college website for both cases. 

After successfully submitting the application form of CVMU, you do not need to contact anyone. Once the application form is submitted successfully, the college checks the forms. If the form is filled correctly with the right documents, it is accepted. The college then informs the students about the further process of admissions.

The application fee needs to be paid at the last step of the form. The fee is different for different streams, years and categories. This application fee is not generally refundable. Once you have paid the application fee you cannot ask for refund even if you don't want to move further with the application process.

CVMU is a famous university. For courses like BTech & MBA, the university takes admisisosns on the basis of entrance exams like JEE Mains, CAT, GMAT, etc. High level of competition & limited number of seats can make the admisison process difficult.

The eligibility criteria is class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. For entrance-based admissions, clearing GUJCET/JEE Mains cutoff is mandatory. Students who wish to take admission through management quota are not required to give entrance exam. Separate list of selected students is released by the university. 

The cutoff for Computer Engineering has been increased over the past three years. The last GUJCET cutoff in third round of counselling for Computer Engineering was 8893 in 2025. Cutoffs are released in multiple rounds of counselling in the admission process.  

Eligibility criteria for every scholarship is different. There are more than 15 scholarships provided based on merit basis, caste basis and under scholarship programs. Students can check detailed eligibility criteria of each scholarship on official website. Interested students can give their names to authorities to avail the scholarships. It is provided as a certain percentage of exemption in fee.

No, there is no specific CVMU BTech seat reservation policy for girls. The admissions are based on merit basis only. Seat allotment is done through multiple counselling rounds. Candidates can fill their college and branch preferences. Reservation of seats is as per ACPC and state government norms.
