Dr. Y. S. Parmar University doesn't accepts CUET for admission to its BSc course. The university conducts its own undergaduate entrance test (UGET) for admission to its BSc course. Dr. YSP University BSc course is offered across three specialisations, i.e., Forestry, Horticulture, and, Natural Farming. The specialisations trains students in the management of plantations, various cash crops, sanctuaries, botanical gardens and forests.BSc at Dr. YSP University  is an undergraduate honors degree programme that lasts for four years. BSc admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university allows the normal seats only for the Himachal Pradesh domicile candidates based on the entrance exam conducted by the university. Further, admission for self-finance students is based on the last qualifying exam.
