Students with a PG degree with a minimum 50% aggregate in the relevant stream are eligible to apply to the programme at GTU. Candidates willing to get admission must take part in the Gujarat Technological University admission process before the last date of application. Gujarat Technological University selection criteria varies program by programme. For Undergraduate, such as BTech or B Pharm admissions through entrance exams GUJCET or JEE Main as managed by the ACPC. Postgraduation through MTech or MBA requires GATE or CMAT scores. Class 12 mark-based programmes for merit-oriented, for example, BBA or BCA or BVoc.

Gujarat University fee vary college-wise. However, the total tuition fee for BCA ranges between INR 30,000 and INR 87,500 as per an unofficial source. Candidates are required to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. Apart from course fee, aspirants also need to pay a registration fee at the start of the admission process.

Candidates who have completed graduation with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply for Gujarat University LLB programme. Aspirants meeting the educational requirements only can apply for the LLB programme. Candidates must have the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission. The university shortlists candidates for LLB admission based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.
