In order to get admission to BDes at UID Delhi-NCR, students are required to pass Class 12 or three year Diploma in any stream from any recognised higher secondary board/ institute. The selection is done based on the performance of candidates in the UID DAT exam and Situation Test & Portfolio evaluation, which is conducted in offline mode.  

The institute offers a limited number of BDes seats across the specialisation and to get a seat candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria first to complete the application form and then secure a valid score in UID DAT, followed by ST & PI. UID Delhi NCR BDes in Product Design curriculum includes semester-wise syllabus. There are a total of 15 subjects in the first year of the programme. For the BDes programme at UID Delhi-NCR, the application fee for the General Category (including Indian and Foreign candidates) is INR 2,000, and applicants can choose to apply either online or offline modes. The theory and lab subjects are included in the UID BDes (H) in Fashion Design & Styling course related to this field. Candidates undergo an industry internship in the final year that helps in gaining practical exposure. A graduation project also has to be submitted by the candidates.
