School of Fashion Design students receive third prize in Fashion Colloquia 2020
February 12, 2020: Shaishavi Mehta, Arushi Gajjar, and Juzelle Rodrigues, sixth semester students of School of Fashion Design at Karnavati University participated in Fashion Colloquia 2020 held in Jaipur. The students were awarded third prize. The idea of their clothes design was influenced by Hindu Apasmara legend, a devil who represents ignorance and was defeated by the Natraja version of Lord Shiva. They named their design ‘Vikara’ that stands for innovation, what they have sought to do with the clothes and what the fashion industry wants at the moment.
Fashion Colloquia 2020 was an International Research Colloquium. The theme of the event was ‘Responsible Future’. Fashion Colloquia is a series which is a joint effort of central network of four institutions connected by their residence and involvement in the world's four biggest 'Fashion Weeks' events. The network includes the London College of Fashion - University of the Arts, London; Domus Academy – Milan; Institute Francais de la Mode

FIIB Honors UWSB Professor's Research Paper
January 27, 2020: Dr Gurmeet Singh, professor at United World School of Business-Karnavati University was recently awarded for his research paper titled ‘Volatility Study of NSE NIFTY during its pre- and post-derivative period’. SAGE Publishing and FIIB have awarded Dr. Singh with a trophy and a certificate under the most cited paper category. The paper has been published internationally also by SAGE Publishing, United States.
This paper explores the effects of stock market fluctuations by using regular NIFTY data for the NSE index from January 2000 to December 2014. The volatility of the Indian stock market is close to that of other major developing and established stock markets. The research paper also talks about various models which indicate effects and impacts of volatility on return. These models include ARCH, OLS, TARCH, GARCH and EGARCH.

Yes, you can fill the UID DAT B.Des and M.Des application forms offline. The application is for INR 2000. The application form must have a photograph, signature and must be sent to the address given by the institute.

The 2024 BDS batch comprised 99 students. Out of these 91 were placed during the 2024 placements. Furthermore, all the 18 MDS students were placed. Comparing to 2023, the 2024 placement rate was higher in BDS and MDS.
