B.Com. in Accountancy - Batch of 2029
Offered by Triveni Debi Bhalotia College
3.2

It has value for money, fully equipped labs classrooms, & fully qualified and friendly faculty.
Placements: I don't think that B.Com (Hons) provides any placements, as there is not much value in this course. By doing this course, you can probably learn financial accounting, management, and economics deeply, but in terms of placements, there's no real idea.
Infrastructure: The library is good enough, there are many books in the library for everyone, and the surroundings are favourable for studies too. The labs are very good, with good seating capacity and good machines, and Wi-Fi is supported. The hostel facility for outstation students is quite impressive.
Faculty: The college professors are quite amazing, qualified enough, and teach very fundamentally, and try to clear the concept. The teaching quality is superb. The course curriculum is relevant for today's time as it is affiliated with KNU. The semester exams are quite easy for me, and I think it's not hard if you have studied even a little.

Good college to learn and improve.
Placements: Not many students got a placement from my college. The percentage of students who got placed in my course in 2024 is 20 to 30 percent. Top recruiting companies are TCS Wipro, Cognizant HP and Capgemini but not many placements. The highest salary package is 4LPA and the lowest package is 1.2LPA. Top role offered by the companies is a Data Operator.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average but decent. Still needs more improvement Wi-Fi is not available for children labs are decent in every classroom everything works fine but they need better bathroom facilities. Some buildings are really old but strong.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful but some teachers do not care if students do anything wrong. The courses provided here do not make students industry ready but now with West Bengal Utkarsha Bangla scheme we are learning industrial ready courses like DATA ENTRY OPERATOR, office executive. The passing percentage of the BB college is 70 to 80 percent. The passing percentage is 40 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to study history and BB College is the only government college in the city that provides this course in Hindi. Anybody can get a scholarship if they score More than 60% so thats a good scheme provided by the government and BB college. Extracurricular activity we have NSS.

B.Tech. in Mining Engineering - Batch of 2028
2.2
2Placements1Infrastructure3Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Average college experience with strong faculty but poor facilities.
Placements: In my batch, placements were average as not many companies visited. Around 40–50% of students got placed. The highest package was 3 LPA. The lowest is around 1 LPA. The average was 2.5 LPA. A few students got internships in local firms. Many students focused on higher studies at IITs and NITs. The roles offered were mainly trainee engineer positions.
Infrastructure: Our department has basic classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and a library, but overall, facilities are average. The hostel is incomplete, so students stay off-campus, where water and food quality are poor. The mess and canteen food are below average, medical help is limited, and sports facilities are minimal. Only the main building is completed.
Faculty: Teachers in Mining were highly qualified. Many from IITs with PhDs from reputed institutes. The teaching quality was good. The curriculum was well-structured, similar to IITs, making it relevant. Exams were moderately difficult. The average pass percentage is around 75–80%. Overall, the experience was average.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) - Batch of 2028
2.4
2Placements1Infrastructure1Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It has a nice campus, but facilities can be better.
Placements: In the CSE branch, a few students got placed. The packages are not very high. Being the first batch, placements are quite satisfactory. But students still have to rely more on off-campus opportunities for better job prospects and career growth.
Infrastructure: University does not have its own girls hostel. Girls hostel is under another college. So our needs are neglected because the college cares about its students only. University also does not have its mess, and some group of students runs the mess.
Faculty: Most of the teachers can't speak English, so if you do not speak Bengali or understand it, then this college is not for you. You will face a lot of problems due to language barriers. Semester exams are not tough at all. You can pass them easily, if you just need to attend classes.

Excellent infrastructure and facilities. It has supportive faculty members.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students got placed. The salary was Rs 3,400 - 5,000. About 41% of college students nationally had an internship, with a higher percentage (around 78.6%). They had participated in some data scientist, AI/ML engineer, software developer, and cybersecurity forms of experiential learning.
Infrastructure: Internet access was often available across the campus. It provided wireless connectivity for students, and faculty to access digital resources and research materials. Learning space designed for lectures, discussions, and group work. A central resource center provided access to a wide range of materials, including books, journals, e-books, and digital resources. Campus infrastructure was fairly good, with well-equipped labs and a decent library.
Faculty: Qualified teacher had the knowledge and expertise to teach their students effectively. They know how to engage their students in learning. Almost all those who took the first semester of the B.A. and B.Sc. exams, as many as 99% passed. Pass rate was around 70%.

Supportive faculty, practical legal training & decent placements – A good choice for law aspirants.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students from the B.A. LL.B. course was placed. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, the lowest 2 LPA, and the average was around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Khaitan & Co., Luthra & Luthra, and legal NGOs. Nearly 80% got internships at High Courts, HRLN, and corporate law firms. Roles offered included legal associate, junior advocate, legal researcher, and legal intern, helping students build strong practical legal experience.
Infrastructure: The college offers well-equipped classrooms, a rich law library, a moot court hall, computer labs, and campus Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms. Mess food is average but hygienic. Medical help, sports, and indoor games are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good with a focus on practical learning. The curriculum is relevant and industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 85-90% on average.
Other: Choosing B.A. LL.B. at Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies has been a good decision. The course helps shape your personality, gives you practical legal training, and prepares you to face the real legal world with confidence. There is still room for improvement, but overall, the college provides a positive and learning-friendly environment.
