Maharaja Chhatarsal Bundelkhand University (MCBU) is the largest state university in Madhya Pradesh, India, in terms of both student enrollment and land area. The University was established on July 9, 2014, by an Act passed by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature. Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela founded the town and the land, and the university bears his name. The Madhya Pradesh government founded Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University (MCBU) in 2015. Accredited by AICTE, AIU, AISHE, MPCST, and the University Grants Commission (UGC), it is recognized.
