Makhan Lal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC Bhopal) is a State Public University with campuses across Bhopal, Datia, Khandwa and Rewa. Named after Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi, a poet, editor, and freedom fighter Makhanlal Chaturvedi Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal was founded in 1990 and has since become the first academic centre of excellence in Journalism and Mass Communication disciplines of India being a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
