One of the best sociology courses in Bihar. It provides a good study, but there are many issues.
Placements: Sociology is a famous subject for civil service aspirants. There is no or little placement from this institute.
Some Ngo's visit here, like MEDHAH. They invite you to do some social work or some work that is directly related to society. We studied urban sociology, rural sociology, tribal sociology, and so on, in sociology.
Infrastructure: Our college's infrastructure is pretty good. There are basic amenities such as a library, a clean classroom, a water filter, a common room, and so on. The Patna University has many hostels. Hostels are big, with all essential facilities except a mess. Every hostel has its own playground. One of the best medical facilities in our university is there, as it has its own hospital where every student gets free treatment or medicine facilities. The university sports committee organises many intercollegiate outdoor or indoor games.
Faculty: No doubt every teacher is helpful, has a Ph.D., and has much knowledge in their discipline. They have good teaching qualities. A sociology course is curriculum relevant. This subject is the scientific study of society, which is why it is important to know the people and why it makes their students industry-ready. The semester exam is not too difficult. Those who attend classes regularly will pass the examination easily. 35% is needed to pass the examination.
Other: Sociology is the most famous subject for civil service examinations. Because I want to work in the civil service, I chose this subject as an elective for my future. Sociology has less research. This college has a dearth of important and recent books. So my wish is to improve this. Many events are organised by our department, like the freshers party and the farewell party, and many sociology-related problems are helped by our department. Our campus is 33 acres in size and is connected to many other colleges as well as the Ganga River. Many scholarship facilities are available through the government, especially for girls. They paid very low fees. The surrounding area of our college is great. You see the Ganga River from our class, which is a next-level experience. Many extracurricular activities are organised by our department or our university.

The best in Bihar but stands nowhere when compared to DU and JNU.
Placements: The department of economics has zero percent placement. There is no placement cell in the university. Once, there was one. But it is no more functional. Only department which gives placement in Patna University is pmir (personal management and industrial relations). Students in Courses like safety management of PMIR are placed with handsome package. So, if you want a job after doing your post graduation. Then department of economics in Patna University is not the right place you need.
Infrastructure: Classes run in an ancient heritage building gifted by Darbhanga Maharaja to Patna University. It is named Darbhanga House. The location is too good. River view classrooms are the centre of attraction in Patna University. But the size of classrooms is too small compared to other colleges of PU like Science college and Patna college. Wi-Fi facility available in each department. Also, every department has its personal library too. There is a central dispensary in which you can get medical facility free of cost. Canteen is situated far away from the college in another building. Buildings are in a need to be repaired. Bathrooms are too dirty.
Faculty: Faculty members are well learned but less in number. It seems that Bihar government is not interested in hiring new professors for Patna University's college. The medium of teaching is English. More emphasis is given on theoretical studies, almost no field work. The course Curriculum has not been updated as per the current needs of the industry unlike DU and JNU.
Other: The overall infrastructure of Darbhanga House in which the department of economics and other post graduation departments of Patna University are situated needs to be reconstructed. The only good thing about the college is its location. It is located on the banks of river Ganga, but since there is a temple situated in the premises of the college, there is always a crowd of tourists and locals in the campus. The campus is not isolated. Scholarship facilities are available for minority students. Almost no extra curricular activities. Eve teasing is a common phenomena in the colleges of Patna University. So it can be said that the co-educational colleges of Patna University are not safe for girls as the local administration and college authorities too does not seem interested in doing anything for it. Seminars and workshops are held once in a blue moon. Unlike other universities of Bihar, classes are held regularly here.

I am absolutely dissatisfied because of placement issues.
Placements: There are no placement facilities in this college. No one has got placements but students get a job on their risk.
Some companies visited here but they offer low packages. Students don't want to do it. No company comes now.
Very few students get internships from the college and they don't get any stipend for this.
Infrastructure: WiFi, labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games, all facilities are available here. However, the management doesn't take care of it so much.
There is no canteen here. Hostel rooms are the worst and the hostel building is too old. We faced infrastructural issues during the tenure at the college.
Faculty: I think this is the best college in Bihar which provides good education at low fees. We don't get industry exposure. But I think the course curriculum is useful.
Teachers are very experienced.

The best university you would ever see.
Placements: 70% of students were placed in my course and the highest package offered was 40 LPA. Airtel, Tata, and Jio are the major recruiters. 80% of students got internships from my course, and they got hired at Jio and many other companies.
Infrastructure: Everything about the infrastructure and facilities was good, like a 3-star hotel. Everything was provided to us in the library. We were given Wi-Fi as well, so we can use the internet for our basic needs. The classrooms were good, and every classroom had one projector. We were also given practical courses.
Faculty: The teaching quality was excellent. There was this notion that if this university were not located in Patna, the teaching quality wouldn't be as good as that is provided in Delhi, but I was proven wrong. Teachers were qualified. The semester exams were little tough here. Approximately 70% of students pass the course.

The infrastructure is nice with a huge auditorium and a library.
Placements: 80-85% of the marks are required to get placed. The lowest package is around Rs.250000 and The highest package is around Rs.1000000. There are approximately 80 to 85 above students who got internships from this college.
Infrastructure: The quality of the facilities in this college are superb and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. The medical facilities are nice. Overall, the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: The pass percentage is above 80 percent and the semester exams in this college are hard enough to crack. This college makes the students ready to face any type of difficulty. The emphasis on scores along with education always helped me a lot. This college has high-quality teaching assessments and management of learning.
Other: After interrogating and seeing many reviews in Patna, this college makes me good enough to learn and be disciplined. The crowd of the college is good.

My college is best for students and the studies.
Placements: 50% of the students take place in history course.
The highest average package is geography but history is also high but not a same as geography.
Infrastructure: Labs facility is very nice here I like it. The hostel quality is nice and food is not so good but okay.
Medical facility is low and they have ground for some tournament sports and games. They held annual tournament too. We like to have part.
Faculty: In this university teachers are very friendly and helpful to us. They help us to solve our problem.
Like we got not enough time for our preparation. But our teachers help us to prepare our course very fastly.
Other: I chose this subject because I like it very much. I want to know our history and worldwide history.
