The best in Bihar but stands nowhere when compared to DU and JNU.
Placements: The department of economics has zero percent placement. There is no placement cell in the university. Once, there was one. But it is no more functional. Only department which gives placement in Patna University is pmir (personal management and industrial relations). Students in Courses like safety management of PMIR are placed with handsome package. So, if you want a job after doing your post graduation. Then department of economics in Patna University is not the right place you need.
Infrastructure: Classes run in an ancient heritage building gifted by Darbhanga Maharaja to Patna University. It is named Darbhanga House. The location is too good. River view classrooms are the centre of attraction in Patna University. But the size of classrooms is too small compared to other colleges of PU like Science college and Patna college. Wi-Fi facility available in each department. Also, every department has its personal library too. There is a central dispensary in which you can get medical facility free of cost. Canteen is situated far away from the college in another building. Buildings are in a need to be repaired. Bathrooms are too dirty.
Faculty: Faculty members are well learned but less in number. It seems that Bihar government is not interested in hiring new professors for Patna University's college. The medium of teaching is English. More emphasis is given on theoretical studies, almost no field work. The course Curriculum has not been updated as per the current needs of the industry unlike DU and JNU.
Other: The overall infrastructure of Darbhanga House in which the department of economics and other post graduation departments of Patna University are situated needs to be reconstructed. The only good thing about the college is its location. It is located on the banks of river Ganga, but since there is a temple situated in the premises of the college, there is always a crowd of tourists and locals in the campus. The campus is not isolated. Scholarship facilities are available for minority students. Almost no extra curricular activities. Eve teasing is a common phenomena in the colleges of Patna University. So it can be said that the co-educational colleges of Patna University are not safe for girls as the local administration and college authorities too does not seem interested in doing anything for it. Seminars and workshops are held once in a blue moon. Unlike other universities of Bihar, classes are held regularly here.

Satisfied and value for money.
Placements: The highest package is 50 lakh per annum and the lowest package is about 8 Lacs per annum. About 60 to 70 per cent of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: Patna University has a good Wi-Fi system and labs. Food is healthy and green vegetables are available in the canteen. A hospital is situated nearby Patna University. So many games were played in our college like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball and kabbadi.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is good too. The teachers are knowledgeable.
Other: The best thing about this course is that many seats were empty. So I chose this course.
