Vanijya Mahavidyalaya was established in 1953, and it is a commerce college in Bihar.

Placements: Approximately 20% of the students can get placed from their courses. Many top companies visited here for the recruitment like Syska, etc. The percentage of students who get internships from our college is moderate. Many courses are available in this college like BBA department, B.Com, MBA and all courses related to the commerce department.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is very well here. I think in Patna University, all hostel facilities are well, and the quality of the food served is quite well. There is a food menu, which varies day by day. Especially for the boys and girls, sports and games are available in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and knowledgeable. Guest teachers are very highly qualified, and there are professional teachers in this college. Professors are well or much better than other colleges in Bihar. It's a top college in Bihar for the commerce department. The course curriculum is relevant.

It is a pride for the students to study here.

Placements: None of the companies visited, and you can't hear placement word on the university campus. Till now, none of the students has been placed through the college. Students got a job on their merit through off-campus placement, which is very low. There is no placement cell. So, no one can have opportunities for the job through the college.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good for study, but Wi-Fi is not available till date. The library is quite good, and nearly all books related to the course are available. Medical facilities are good for all students, as well as faculty. We have a medical card and can opt for free medical check-up and medicine. Sports are not performed regularly. The food in the canteen is fair.

Faculty: Faculty are quite impressive. If required, guests faculty are also invited to demonstrate topics related to the course. Faculty members are very much cooperative, and they also take students to industrial visit for exposure once a year. The course curriculum is fair.

Other: The connectivity to the college from each corner of Patna is easy, and anyone can reach there easily.

Very good faculty members, but lack in the campus placement.

Placements: The placement facility at Patna University is very poor. Rarely any company visit the campus. The university is filled with talented students, but the university doesn't provide placement assistance. The new placement cell has been started this year, and hopefully, they will provide the placement assistance.

Infrastructure: The university was established in 100 years ago, so the infrastructure including the class and buildings are old fashioned. It is a typical government university, and all the infrastructure is of the british period. The university has updated to the latest trends in technology, and it has to undergo some changes.

Faculty: The university is affiliated with Aictc, and the faculty members are very knowledgeable. It is the best University of Bihar. The university also provides guests lecture on specialised subjects. Apart from MBA, B.A., B.Com, B.Ed, B.Se, and some courses are available. Both U.G and P.G course, as well as research work, can be done from here. The faculty members are of world class.

Other: The university provides growth opportunity where students can learn as well as get mature. Some events are organised now and then.

Satisfied with the faculty members and the facilities are also good.

Placements: In my senior batch two to three people got selected in marketing sector during campus placement after that there is no placement facilities were provided by the university till now. For that, we fought against VC, but there is no solution till now. For the placement facilities it is not good college but might be in future it will improve.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, day by day the authority makes the infrastructure much better than before. For the students, they provide the library facilities and the restroom, especially for females. They provide live classes on projectors on necessary topics. Time to time they organise some events for the student's benefits.

Faculty: The faculty of Patna University are one of the best faculty members. They gave lectures in that manner so that no one can get any difficulty during the learning. Sometimes they provide some notes on a specific topic which is difficult to understand by students from books. Our faculty are too cooperative and well behaved. They support in projects and also help us.

Great faculty, good infrastructure and learning environment.

Placements: I had enrolled for the MBA programme and there was no campus placement in the year 2016 (the year in which I passed out) but, references/links were given by professors for off-campus which helped many of my classmates to get placed in private sectors. For marketing, references for FMCG companies and other rural e-marketing and e-services like Sahaj were given. For finance, references for finance and micro-finance companies were given. Many of us also prepared for the banking sector and got placed in public sector banks through exams conducted by IBPS.

Infrastructure: The location of Patna University is near the banks of the Ganges in Darbhanga House, Kali Ghat which makes it a very peaceful location for studies. The infrastructure is very historical and it is the seventh oldest university in India. It has a rich culture but the method of teaching is old. There is a library in which books for all disciplines are available. The university also provides hostel facilities for students who out-station students. The university also conducts extra-curricular activities and students can participate as per their choice.

Faculty: The faculty team is highly-experienced and highly-qualified. They are helpful and their vast experience and knowledge give a deep insight of any subject. The discipline is a priority. The classes are regular and the professors are punctual. The course is completed within time and the exams are conducted regularly. The industry exposure is part of our course as the summer training programme.

Satisfied with the faculty members and programs. Lack of infrastructure and basic facilities.

Placements: It is hard to state that in Patna University, there were zero percent placement. Students had to find their job off-campus. There was no placement cell. We went for GD and the SBI team was also impressed by most of the students but due to lack of college’s interest, student fail to take internships.

Infrastructure: Being a government college, the infrastructure was very orthodox. The classrooms, library, etc. all were simple. There were lack of facilities like Wi-Fi, games, etc. One of the reason behind this could be that the fund raised for the college/university was not properly used. There was no canteen. Hostels were there but the environment of the hostel was not good for a simple or laborious student.

Faculty: No doubt, a few of the faculty members were scholars and they taught or guide us very well. They were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching method was good, since it was orthodox type like black board and a few time, projectors were also used, as it was totally depend upon the requirement. The student to faculty ratio was 65:1. No industry exposure was provided but the course curriculum was definitely very useful.
