BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery - Batch of 2022
Offered by DSI - Dayananda Sagar Institutions
4.2
Really good academics and facilities.
Placements: The placement in our course was not offered mostly. There were no companies that recruit doctors via campus placement. The salary offered after completing BDS was around 10 LPA. You also got mandatory internship offers. The top role offered in our course was dentist.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course was good. The labs were well-equipped with instruments and equipment. The library was well-furnished and had a modern design. The hostel quality of our college was also good, and there were limited sports facilities.
Faculty: Professors of our course were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of our faculty members was good. The course curriculum was relevant to our degrees. We learned from real-life examples and provided solutions. The semester examination was a little tough.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) - Batch of 2026
Offered by RajaRajeswari Dental College and Hospital
4.6
Good dental college to structure your future.
Placements: Around 200 students are placed in our course. After completing BDS, we have to master's which is like PG then we will be placed in a good hospital. Everybody gets internships who completes their course. The salary offered for internships is about Rs 10,000 monthly.
Infrastructure: College is equipped with well-facilities like smart classes and classrooms are equipped with air-conditioned. Hostels are well maintained, and the quality and quantity of food are good. There is a stadium for badminton and cricket. Even basketball court is also available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained and qualified with higher degrees. They are knowledgeable. Course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for internships. This university is deemed university, and the college only conducts exams. Exams are done yearly.
Other: I wanted to be a dentist, so I chose this work. The course is not hectic, and we can study and pass the exam. Events are conducted like many cultural and Holi programs.

BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery - Batch of 2030
Offered by Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Bellary
4.4
It has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: College is strict. As I know, it is a very good college compared to other private colleges. It provides a very good stipend. Through KEA intake of seats is 65, but it is less. Learning here is worth it for dentistry.
Infrastructure: We have a central library. There are old buildings, but still there is quiet and lots of books to study. When it comes to the hostel, the food is better. I'm not saying it's very good, but fine. Medical facilities are also good. The college environment is good, but in the summer, it is very hot.
Faculty: Teaching is good. But self-study is more. Question papers are okay. If we study, we can score more. Many of them got university rankings and distinctions. Teaching facilities are good in some departments and not all. IDA is there, which is very helpful during internships.
Other: Only government scholarships are available. It conducts some extracurricular activities.

    AJ institute for students.
Placements: There are approximately 100 students in each year. Our course is for 4 years, followed by a 1-year internship, which can only be completed in our college. Our yearly fees are about 3,50,000, and college fees are about 90,000, which makes about 15 Lacs for all 4 years, whereas for merit students, it can be about 90,000 per year.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a library, a gym, a football court, a computer library or E-library, and many other sports courts, canteens, and food courts. It is placed in the heart of the city, so it helps students be easily accessible to their requirements. The quality of food is average, and the infrastructure has recently been renewed.
Faculty: The teachers of our college are well-qualified in their specialty. They are strict but have a very helpful and approachable attitude. Our quota and exams provide the students with all the knowledge and practice needed. There are three internal exams per year, followed by our finals.
Other: Our college does not only focus on education but also on our extracurricular activities, which make the students more involved and connected with each other and our college. This course is the perfect choice for you if you are into arts and science; it's all about your practical work and skills.

Love hate relationship with my college.
Placements: There are no internships or requirements held at our college. Only 1-2 students selected and got an opportunity of being a staff at our college. There is nothing other than that. We have our regular internship which is of 1 year. It is mandatory by KSDC.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi at our college or hostel. The library has Wi-Fi. Computers are accessible only for the department of NAAC work and nothing else. The hostel is mediocre. The food is just edible and nothing more. We have a medical college. Its facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is kind and good. They teach the curriculum up to the point. All necessary topics are covered. It does not make us ready for the outer world. Regular exams are conducted.
Other: I chose BDS and it was not by choice but had to do something.

The college is good, food is average, more girls 30:1.
Placements: There were 40 students in my batch, the lowest tuition fee was 86,000 per year, but the highest was 4 lakhs per year. The internship in BDS is a compulsory rotary internship in our own college, after which we have to search for jobs ourselves. There are no placements in BDS.
Infrastructure: The food was not bad compared to other hostels, but the cost was a lot. First year, it was only 45k per year, then it became 60k the next year, 78k, and now it is 94k per year. They say it's because "raw materials are higher." The hostels were a sharing system, usually 2-3 in a room. It was comparatively good. There is a library, labs are good, classrooms are good too, and we have one month every year dedicated to sports, which is good.
Faculty: The teachers were mostly good. They do give importance to teaching and curriculum, and it was relevant. Yet, there were some extra additive courses that did not meet the required standards (new addition to the college for additive learning), but overall, in terms of studies, the college was good. They provide undergraduate research opportunities, etc. The college is under RGUHS University, so the subjects and studies are similar all over Karnataka. You need to score a minimum of 50% to pass.
Other: The campus is beautiful with greenery since the college is situated on a hill. The food is average, in fact, good compared to other places. The place is a bit isolated, so it's calm and peaceful, but just 10 minutes to the town. So, in terms of location, it's ideal. It rains a lot.

Really good infrastructure, good patient flow, and very good in terms of studies and practice.
Placements: BDS is a course where there are no such placements. But the college provides a good base for learning as it is good in patient flow. The more the number of patients, the better the practice. It is located in the heart of Bengaluru city. Maximum no. of Hindi-speaking patients.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. Huge campus and the best environment. You will love the infrastructure because you'll get amazing pictures. The hospital block has a lift, so it is very convenient. Patients are cooperative as the amount charged is much less for the treatment.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. The curriculum is the same as mentioned on the RGUHS website. Exams happen once a year, but there are internal assessments once in every 2 months. So, 3 internals and one main final exam per year. But the exams are better to check your own knowledge.
Other: Events happen once a year.

Satisfied with the faculty, good placements as of 2024, fair infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Our batch only had 54 students, but considering it was the 2020 batch, we were the least in number due to COVID. But other batches have more than 70 members each. It costs around 1.5 Lacs per year for a government-allotted seat through NEET, around 3.5 Lacs for a NEET-allotted private seat, and around 4.5 Lacs for management seats. Most people go for PG NEET to complete their Masters, open their own clinics, or work in different clinics. All passed-out students get a year of internship in the adjoining Sharavathi Dental Hospital.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of course facilities is good, with many working dental chairs. Everything is divided into different departments to get proper training in each. The hostel could be better and I mean a lot better. The washrooms, after weekends, have a lot of insects, but on weekdays, they're hygienic and clean. The food could do a lot better in taste, but health-wise, it's not bad.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and teach very professionally and solve any doubts that might occur. The curriculum is organized and prepares the students for future work. The exams are annually conducted by the University itself. They're difficult sometimes but not others. The percentage of passing is around 96-98% every year.
Other: The scope for this course is high. It's pretty good if you're planning on going out of India for work. Some of the best things about the course are hands-on experience in treating patients and handling any emergency situations that may rise. All events and extracurricular activities are mostly planned by the interns that year. Some other events are planned by non-teaching and teaching staff.
