Every year, the Sri Devraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar awards thirty scholarships to MBBS students. Each scholarship is worth Rs. 25,000/-per year. Thirteen scholarships, named in honor of the late Sri. Ramakrishna Hegde, the former chief minister of Karnataka, are available to students in the general merit category (GM). Fifteen scholarships are awarded to OBC students in memory of the late Sri. Devaraj Urs, the former chief minister of Karnataka.
