As per the policy, a total of 28% of seats are reserved for the SC/ST candidates. Out of this 28%, 16 percent of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. Remaining 12% seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribe candidates.

UNIRAJ accepts entrance exams recognised on the national level such as PIM-MAT/ URATPG/ MAT/ XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ ATMA etc. Therefore, to conclude, candidates can seek admission based on the results of any other exam and not just CAT.

Candidates must have earned at least 50% (45% for candidates from the reserved category) of a bachelor's degree in any discipline from an accredited university to be considered for admission. Either at the undergraduate or 10+2 level, mathematics should preferably be one of the subjects in the degree.Candidates must also have earned a three-year undergraduate degree from the University of Rajasthan, such as a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BSc), or any other comparable degree. To evaluate applicants' mastery of subjects like mathematics, logical thinking, and fundamental computer Science concepts, the university may also ask them to take an admission exam.

In case the seat left vacant due to the student's withdrawal cannot be filled, then no refund is provided.2.
